Course Overview
This course prepares the student to serve as a first responder to cardiac emergencies. It covers activation of the “Emergency Medical System”, early recognition of a heart attack and stroke, management of the victim experiencing a heart attack, relief of foreign airway obstruction and the emergency treatment for cardiac arrest using CPR.
