Basic Cardiac Life Support II

Course Overview

Basic Cardiac Life Support II is required for all second year medical students. The course prepares the student to perform CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction on victims of all ages. The students are also trained in the use of barrier devices, bag-valve-mask devices and the automated external defibrillator. The recognition and management of a heart attack and stroke are also included in this course.
