========================================================================
1.  Updates on library access.
Access to Rutgers Electronic Journals by Joint Program RWJMS faculty and GSBS at RWJMS grad students who entered prior to 2008 is described below.

1.  Obtain barcode and PIN at LSM circulation desk.  If you already have a barcode, then you may be able to just call the LSM circulation desk to get a PIN.  If you need a new barcode, then you will have to fill out a form at the LSM circulation desk and you will need your UMDNJ ID number and ID card.  You may not be listed as joint program faculty in their system, so if they deny your request, you may have to reiterate that you are, in fact, part of the joint program in molecular biosciences.

2.  Wait 24 hours for the system to activate your account.

3.  Go to the Rutgers library home page (http://www.libraries.rutgers.edu/rul/index.shtml) and click on the yellow bar called “NOT LOGGED IN”

4.  Do not enter your barcode and PIN on this page.  Since  you do not have a Rutgers Net ID, you must then click on the "Library barcode and PIN Login" link on the right (https://login.proxy.libraries.rutgers.edu/login?url=http://www.libraries.rutgers.edu:80/rul/index.shtml)

5.  Enter your barcode and PIN credentials and then search for your articles from within the Rutgers Library Website.

2.  Recruitment slides for seminars.

The GSBS at RWJMS has recruitment resources for faculty who are visiting other universities or attending conferences.

A recruitment slide to add to the end of a seminar talk as a JPEG file is available.  A series of JPEG files corresponding to buildings/institutes that house our joint program faculty are at: http://rwjms.umdnj.edu/education/gsbs/gsbs_info/resources.html

3.  Posting of course information for Spring 2009.

Any sylabbi for spring 2009 courses can be posted on the GSBS at RWJMS web site (http://rwjms.umdnj.edu/education/gsbs/current/info.html), please email your file to Johanna Sierra sierrajo@umdnj.edu

4.  Support for student individual fellowship preparation.
