Graduate Record Examinations (GRE)

The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking and analytical writing skills. While the GRE Advanced Subject Test is strongly recommended, all applicants must complete the General GRE exam upon application.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

The TOEFL test measures your ability to communicate in English in colleges and universities. You can take the test as an Internet-based Test (IBT) or a paper-based test (PBT), depending on which format is offered at your test center. The TOEFL test is required for all foreign applicants.

Academic Services and Technology

Academic Services and Technology is the unit charged with administration and support of web services, the portal, instructional technologies, computer labs and research services. AST has also integrated a new automated service for print production, called the on-line Digital Media Store.

For more information on these services, members of the UMDNJ community can log into the my.UMDNJ.edu portal and go to the IST channel on the administration tab.

Internet Resources

New electronic resources are now accessible from the Web-based University Libraries online public access catalog. Ongoing renovations enabled the libraries to radically enhance the electronic scholarly resources provided to our primary users - the faculty, students, staff and attending physicians at the University's core-affiliated hospitals.
