Graduate Student Association
The Graduate Student Association (GSA) of the Joint Program in the Molecular Biosciences (MBS programs) is an organization open to all students enrolled in one of the MBS programs through either Rutgers or UMDNJ. We seek to facilitate communication among students as well as between them and faculty in the graduate program. The overall goals are to enhance the academic programs, aid students in their development as scientists and make the graduate experience a more positive one for all students in the MBS programs.

In addition to monthly lunch meetings, the GSA also sponsors a variety of activities including picnics, post-exam discussions/parties, faculty/student mixers, guest lecturers and other professional or social events. In addition, GSA officers and members are frequently active in recruiting efforts and at times are involved in an advisory role in various other aspects of the graduate program (including the executive committee of the UMDNJ Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences).

While we have close ties with the faculty and staff of the MBS programs, we are an autonomous body, student run and operated.
