RWJMS Summer Research FellowshipsOpportunities in research sponsored by the Foundation of UMDNJ and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Summer Research Fellowship Program are available to medical students in their first and second years at RWJMS. Under the guidance of faculty, students conduct short-term research projects in selected areas of basic and clinical investigation. The objective of this program is to further acquaint students with scientific methodology and to enhance their analytic and laboratory skills. The rationale for such a program is that exposure to a superior research environment will ultimately result in better and more able physicians.Applications are to be prepared by the student in consultation with a mentor. A faculty committee appointed by the Dean will award the research fellowship based primarily on the quality of the research experience for the student.
